Mid Century Modern Remodel

Built in 1954, many of the original features of the home are still intact. The kitchen -while fun to see the original cooktop and ovens, and brick cabinetry - the clients desire more storage, modern appliances and an updated style that is also respectful of the original vibe of the home.

The new kitchen design respects the home’s mid-century character while updating the aesthetics and functionality for a family of four. A built-in bench anchors a new dining / homework area. New bifold doors and oversized awning windows replace the old single pane uninsulated units, maximizing natural light, and expanding the feel of the galley layout. Careful removal of the brick sections and replacement with wood cabinetry will add functional storage.

Design concepts are also underway for a new Primary Suite closet and bath.

The existing bath was outdated with an inefficient layout for the space.

The new design is strategic with window placements: capturing views across the property and maximizing natural light. The chosen material palette of natural stone and wood with green ceramic tile create a calm and serene environment to start and end the day.

Transitional Kitchen and Main Floor Refresh

Our clients purchased a shingle style home built in the early 2000s and have been diligently customizing the spaces and finishes to better align with their aesthetic preferences. We have been working with them to refresh the main floor: new kitchen and pantry layout, and powder room complete with a hidden door!

DADU : Detached Dwelling Unit

Our clients — a mother and her son — envisioned a small home on the son’s existing single‑family lot where Mom could comfortably age in place while staying close to family. We designed a simple, efficiently constructed structure that tucks in beside the primary residence, creating a connected yet independent living arrangement that supports long‑term comfort and care.
